    Tales of Pirates is an adventure MMORPG centered around piracy. Players pick a character at the beginning of the game and later choose a skill path. These characters also have specific quests in addition to the storyline quests that will help you level. Tales of Pirates is a fully 3D designed multiplayer online game based on 5000 years of background history with Piracy as its central theme. It is comical in nature and has humorous looking characters and creatures. The game is painted in bright and beautiful colors. The exaggerated movements and actions of characters as well as objects, topped with an atmosphere that is overall relaxed, the game makes it always interesting and fresh for new and old players alike. There are also different styles, themes and architecture for the different towns, islands and dungeons. The multitude of elements designed captivates players and keeps them immersed while they explore all different possibilities available in game.
    At level 15, the player is able to buy a ship and gains access to the sea, including new areas and new gameplay, including maritime battles. There are dungeons to crawl, many job and crafting opportunities, and several cities to visit. The game sees regular updates and GM-led events. The game is free to play with an optional item mall.
   Tales of Pirates was released back in mid 2007 by IGG, being developed by a renown Chinese company. It has lost a great deal of popularity since then, however, due to the many new MMORPGS on the market today. The game is focused on a maritime/pirate theme −you guessed it−, and is equipped with many rusty gameplay features. This game was also interestingly influenced by the anime “One-Piece”, which can be deducted by the various armour names in the game. ToP was also influenced by Pirates of the Caribbean, having NPC names such as “Jack Arrow” (referring to Jack Sparrow).
